Evelyn's Birthday Party!

Evelyn turned two - she is truly a big girl now, as she tells us multiple times daily. We celebrated with a "Charlie and Lola" party. We had pink fairy cakes and pink milk just like Lola loves.

Evelyn ate every bit of her frosting, it was a big pink hit. I'm so glad we could share the evening with the Russel family. Evelyn recieved a birthday hug from Helen here. Evelyn has been looking forward to her birhtday since Helen turned two and moved to a new Sunday school class. I'm so glad they will be reunited again!

Happy Easter!

Evelyn loves peek-a-boo! I just loved her Easter outfit. Drew was adorable too, but he left early for church with daddy. She was so proud of her hat!

Visiting Indiana

I loved taking Evelyn for her first visit to Indiana. Walking into the Indianapolis airport, I was concerned that I had taken the wrong plane - what happened here? A brand new airport greeted us, but familiar sights, tasstes and most importantly people were still in store. Evelyn had a first piano lesson with Lois Carol at the same piano where mommy used to play every week.

A new face for me was my dear friend Jenni's daughter Delaney. We were thrilled at the fun the girls had together. Maybe they can room together at Taylor someday!

Aunt Chris seems to be destined for flight delays when coming to Indiana! We were so glad when she arrived... though Evelyn had gotten used to having her bed as a playground by day. Who knew that flopping on pillows and tucking yourself in could be so much fun? I was glad to see that Evelyn is just as content and easy to entertain out on the road as at home. And what a treat to be back home with my sister! I even ate at Pizza King because I love her!

Happy Birthday Drew!

We had so much fun creating Drew's Fire Fighter party! Drew and all his favorite buddies had a good time doing training exercises, a bucket brigade, and oh the siren noises! The fire hydrant of cupcakes seemed to satisfy our hungry crew. But while red frosting on red velvet was thematically appropriate, we may still have red crumbs in the dining room.

We love Mimi visits!

We're so glad that Mimi comes to help us when Daddy goes on trips! It was a beautiful spring day to share on the National Mall.
